Fairy Shoes!

You would think A grown woman would get over Fairy's and such. This is my attempted at Fairy shoes. It is a trade in one of my groups. They said you could trade 1 to 3 pair of shoes. I went with one pair. (Boy am I glad)
I would not have made it to 3 pair. They are only 4" long and I am not a beadier! What a Friday night project! I lead a exciting life!

We had a wonderful sunny and warm day with not much wind.

Little Orphan Any?

Little Orphan Any is the name of a round robin that I have been participating in. I added the yellow, cat tracks and red. We had to add 3" to all sides. I left the sides a little big so the next person had a little play. She can trim it down to fit her round.
This one I added the purple and teal. I was not as happy with how it went together as the cat one. But I think the owner will like it.
I got mine back and now to find time to quilt it.
It's nit what I usually do it's in red and black. I thought it would be a change. It came out well.
DGD didn't make it today to do pillow cases. She has a cold or something? Not feeling well what ever it is. So I had time to get these done. They will go out in the morning mail to the next person.

Swap Your Stash for May

I made these yesterday afternoon. After DGD Kristin and I went to the Quilters Candy Shop in O'Neil to buy fabric for pillow cases.
I did these little note pad covers for my Like minded artist yahoo group. It's called swap you stash . I try to use everything that is sent . Some times it's hard to do . I think they turned out O.K.
I all ways make one for me and one for the sender so she has a memento of the swap.

I try to make them a like . Close counts!

I think DGD Kristin and I are making pillow cases for her friends grad. gifts today. With her hand hurt she can't use the rotary cutter. So she can sew and I can cut for her.

Row By Row Last one!

This is the last row by row I had in one of my Yahoo groups. It was nice to sew one of my have to finish projects. It was do out by the end of the month. It will be fun to see what my row by row looks like. Jennie gets it before me. She has a row to add then it will come home to me. I did the last row on the bottom. It had a African theme.
It's now time to get things done have been putting off for the last 2 weeks. Now that Graduation is over.
I think DGD Kristin and I are going to the Quilt Shop in O' Neil. She need fabric for pillow cases. She thinks thy would make nice gifts for her girl friends that graduated with her.
They do make a fast and fun gift.

What a day! Graduation Day!

Kristin started the day off by cutting her hand on a can she was opening, and had 10 stitches. We had a lot of food. The cake was a big hit!
This is a very tired Mom ! Before she got ready for the graduation! She will not like this photo. I think it says it all on how we felt by that time!

I went and watched Kristin open her grad. gifts today and had left overs from the party for lunch and came home and did nothing all after noon. well maybe one thing I did was give my dog Teddy a bath. I took him with me to Jennie's and he round in a mud puddle he was mud and sand . I couldn't tell what color he was.

Done At Last! In Time!

I finished DGD Kristin's graduation quilt last night about 9:30. She loves lime green (I wounder where she got that from) She is more like her Grandma than she thinks.

She wanted teal and lime green for her party. With luck I had 3 yds. of this butterfly print and some marbled or shaded blue and green fabric. Then I went to Linda's a quilt friend that dose hand dyed fabrics and got what she had in the colors I needed. It's nice to have Friends that are talented.

I put a pocket on it to put her announcement and invitations and what ever in for safe keeping.

It's raining with a chance for snow tonight. Wow would think we would have this kind of weather on 10th. I hope it gets better for the party this afternoon and night.

Now maybe I can work on some other things I need to get done soon.

Still Working

I am still working on my DGD's graduation quilt I have to have it done buy Sat. It's taking longer to quilt than I would like. I just need more time in the sewing room!
Jennie, Kristin, and I went shoping for things today so no quilting.
