Asparagus

This is a asparagus that is growing in my A-bed this year. Mutant asparagus? Jennie took this Photo.

Our Sew in Tuesday

Yes L. I took your photos to show everyone what a good time we had. We finished 51 blocks for Linda to use in a quilt for a boy with Cancer that is a friend of her GrandD's.
WE are in organized disarray!
Squaring up?

Jennie has had it!!!!

All 4 at Ashfall. After the tour of AF we went to lunch and took the long way around to Orchard to see a few sights in the country. I think we all enjoyed the day. It's all ways nice to have time with other women.

The passed and the now.

I did this quilt top for a class I was teaching 10 or so years ago. When the stack and whack first came out and before Beth R. had put a book out on fans. It is made from the pillow top pre-prints you all had or have at one time or the other. It was a way to use them up.
It is Sara's Birthday this month and Jennie quilted it from the stack of things we have samples of and have never finished form the quilt shop days. Sara loves lavenders and pinks and it will go well in her room so she will be the new owner of a old project.
It has some fold lines in it that should come out when washed.
Sara is 12 now. When we opened the shop she was still in her mother being made. She spent most of her first 5 years at the shop with us. And yes Sara is a quilter just like her Mom and Grandma.

# 2 summer Challenge.

Here's my #2 Summer Challenge quilt top. Jennie just left with them . So in a few days I should get them both back to put the bindings on.

Summer Challenge

This is a top I did this morning for a Summer Challenge in my Yahoo group Quilted With Love group. We get the center panel for a $ each then we are to make a quilt from it for Quilts for Kids.
Now it's off to DD Jennie to be quilted then back to me for the binding and to be sent to Quilts for Kids.
Now I have to get going on the other one!!!

Happy 4th of July

This is a small wall hanging I put together from star blocks we traded when Jennie had the quilt shop. It's in my stack of small quilts most of the year . I thought I would share it with you.
I hope everyone has a great holiday!!!!!!***** This is my heart string quilt that the Orchard quilters help make the blocks for.
It is going to my DC in MO. His farm was hit buy bad winds and storms and took the roof off their house then a tornado took the house and their dog kennels. Not much left. So I thought it would be a good place for the bright and cheery quilt.
It is so devastating to lose your things and home.

A little sewing this morning

Jennie got me 2 pair of jeans at a G-sale and they were long so I cut a pair of and put the sun on with my embroidery machine. The photo is not as bright as the real thing. I have a lot of green and blue shirt I can wear with these. A little bird swap I was in in my Sew Good Friends Yahoo group. It's been a while but I finally got it put together and finished.
Summer is a hard time to stay inside and work on things but I miss not sewing everyday.

I did it!

I finally bit the bullet and booked my ticket to My Uncles 75th birthday party in Puyallup WA. I am flying out on the 11th and will be back on the 18th of Aug. I am so looking forward to it a lot of my fathers family will be there from all over the country. It will be the first real vacation that I have taken where I can relax and not have to hurry.
